What percentage of CBD is appropriate for dogs?
Many people believe that when it comes to CBD oil, the higher the percentage, the better or higher the quality. However, this assumption is completely wrong, because the percentage alone says nothing at all about the quality or effectiveness of a CBD oil. The only thing that matters here is the correct dosage, and that can generally be achieved with any percentage.
However, depending on the dog’s size, you should opt for a higher or lower concentration. For example, if you have a small dog, it’s generally easier to administer the correct dose with a lower concentration. A 6 kg dog, for example, needs about 6 drops of our 2.8% oil, or alternatively 3 drops of our 5.6% oil. If you want to divide the dose into three portions, the 2.8% version is the better choice.
A large dog or a horse naturally needs significantly more CBD per day. In this case, it’s better to use a CBD oil with a higher concentration so you don’t have to count out so many drops. In addition, animals that are sensitive to fat or need to watch their calorie intake are generally better off with a higher concentration, because the desired dosage can be achieved with less product.
However, the choice of strength has no effect on the outcome when the dosage remains the same!

Nacani CBD Oil 2.8% contains 1 milligram of CBD per drop, making it ideal for smaller dogs because it allows for more precise dosing.
Example:
The recommended daily dose of CBD for a dog weighing 12 kilograms is between 6 and 12 milligrams of CBD per day. That means he needs about
- 6 to 12 drops of the 2.8% oil or
- 3 to 6 drops of the 5.6% oil.
Nacani CBD Oil 2.8% is available in 10 ml, 20 ml, 30 ml, 50 ml, and 100 ml sizes.
nacani CBD Oil 5.6% – Ideal for larger dogs
Nacani CBD Oil 5.6% contains 2 milligrams of CBD per drop—twice as much as the other version. It is therefore particularly suitable for larger dogs and dogs that need to watch their fat intake for dietary or other reasons— as well as for horses.
Example:
The recommended daily dose of CBD for a dog weighing 40 kilograms is between 20 and 40 milligrams of CBD per day. That means he needs about
- 20 to 40 drops of the 2.8% oil or
- 10 to 20 drops of the 5.6% oil.
With the 5.6% fat content, you can meet the recommended daily intake with fewer calories and less fat, which is not only good for dogs watching their weight but also helpful for dogs that are sensitive to fat.

Both nacani oils are great for your dog! However, for smaller dogs, it’s easier to get the dosage right with nacani CBD Oil 2.8%. For larger dogs, on the other hand, it’s easier to get the dosage right with nacani CBD Oil 5.6% —especially if they don’t tolerate fat very well or if you want to avoid an unnecessarily high fat intake for other reasons.
